Shop policies
Couriers:
Italy → BRT, SDA or, in exceptional cases, UPS (delivery usually within 2–3 business days).
International → UPS or FedEx (delivery usually within 3–7 business days).
Processing Times:
Orders are generally shipped within 1–4 days after payment confirmation. However, in some cases, additional time may be required to prepare your order properly.
Orders received after 11:00 a.m. on Friday will be shipped no earlier than the following Monday, as couriers do not collect parcels on Saturdays.
Tracking: all shipments are trackable but not insured. The carrier will send a notification email with tracking details. Please also check spam/junk folders.
It is also possible to arrange insured shipping or express delivery (DHL), just contact me before placing the order.
Customs fees: always at the expense of the customer/importer.
Delivery times are indicative and do not take into account possible delays caused by the couriers.
Customized Orders and Out-of-Stock Items:
Available customizations:
Ropes → length, closure knot type, color, treatment.
Candles → color and wax blend.
Other handcrafted items (e.g. canes, collars, cilices, etc.) may also be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
Possible price increases will always be communicated prior to confirmation.
For customized items, it may not be possible to comply with the standard processing times mentioned above.
Out-of-Stock Items: In rare cases, due to occasional stock discrepancies, some ordered items may be out of stock.Should this occur, the customer will be promptly informed and offered one of the following options:
-a refund for the missing items,
-a full refund of the order, or
-the option to wait for a new supply of the missing products, if a restock date is known.
Rope Nomenclature:
Asanawa: classic Japanese rope, loosely twisted strands, single yarn (1-ply) jute.
Tossa: more tightly twisted than Asanawa, still single yarn (1-ply) jute. Harder and slightly stronger.
None of the ropes are certified for load-bearing strength. Use in suspension is entirely under the responsibility of the user. Since these ropes are natural fiber, regular inspection and replacement in case of wear is recommended.
Ropes quality classification
Grade 1: highest quality ropes, free of visible defects.
Grade 2: ropes with minor imperfections (slightly shorter length, non-standard color, minor flaws).
Grade 3: ropes with more evident defects, but still usable.
Rope Treatment and Preparation
All ropes listed here are already prepared and ready to use, though this does not guarantee they are free of JBO.
Preparation may be done using wet or dry methods.
Finished with soy wax, therefore suitable for vegans.
Special custom treatments outside the standard can be arranged upon request (see customization section).
We do not take responsibility for improper or reckless use of our products.
The customer has the right to request a return or refund of products in case of delivery errors, damaged items, or non-conforming goods.
Before proceeding with a return, the customer must contact the seller to agree on the methods and details of the procedure.
Except in exceptional cases, return shipping costs for an item ordered by mistake are the responsibility of the buyer.
If the buyer has placed an order by mistake and wishes to cancel it and obtain a refund:
If the order has been prepared but not yet shipped, the cancellation will be accepted and a full refund (100% of the paid amount) will be issued, except for customized items, which are non-refundable;
If the order has already been shipped, only the value of the goods returned to the sender will be refunded, subject to verification of the product’s integrity and only after the item has been received back.
If an order is returned to the sender because the address provided was incorrect, the package was not claimed by the recipient, or for any other similar reason, the customer may choose to:
Request a partial refund of the order, excluding shipping costs (not applicable to customized items);
Request reshipment of the order, after paying a new shipping fee and clarifying the reason why the shipping has come back to sender.
In all cases, these options are valid only after the order has been received back and the integrity of the products has been verified.
