If you have ever had a leather item crack or tear and noticed the inside is fluffy and is easily pulled apart you have experienced the flaws of composite/bonded leather. Top and full grain leather will not deteriorate in that way, and instead will become softer and more supple over time.
Synthetic and composite/bonded leather is significantly cheaper, and unbeknownst to most people can still legally be marketed as 'genuine leather'. We at Mercy Industries understand the frustration of buying 'genuine leather' items that don't last the test of time, and it is this experience in part that lead us to start making our own products.
This is why when you purchase a Mercy Industries product you can be confident in knowing that it will never be made from synthetic or composite/bonded leather. Further, to match the premium locally sourced leather we utilise only the highest quality durable hardware, so that all parts of our products will endure heavy use for many years to come.
