Description

Every tawse we make starts with heavy, raw vegetable-tanned leather from Hermann-Oak. Made using a natural tea of vegetable tannins, this is one of the oldest and most environmentally friendly types of leather. The resulting hide is heavy, dense, and perfect for our purposes.

PROCESS
Each hide is processed into 1.25in wide blanks which are then graded and sorted by weight and quality. The shape and embellishments are cut then the handle is skived down, glued around a leather bolster, and hand-stitched in place.

FEEL
A heavy sting with little effort. The single tongue makes this impact a little less sharp and a little more slappy than the split version.
