These "Suspension" cuffs are my Submissive-Reaction Line of Easy Wear Cuffs.
PLEASE BE SURE TO PUT WRIST SIZE IN NOTES.
Because the left and right wrists can be different, please provide each one with left wrist first, then right wrist in the notes.
Please list them in 1/4" or mm (rounded to nearest 5mm) increments.
Measure the wrist just above the wrist joint.
NOTE: If I do not receive a measurement before I make them, the official default is a Medium or club default size (6-9" range) with as many tongue holes as will work within the range of the cuff. I call this my club cuff as I have produced a few for clubs use by multiple people. You can select for the default club cuff, although I prefer the customer provides measurements as the farther off center, the less comfortable they will be (which is why I have four wrist templates) I recommend a small, medium, and large set for clubs (contact me ahead of time for a three set discount).
They are called Easy Wear cuffs because they are easier on the wrist than most other cuffs. Several folks who have bought them from me in the past used them for bed play or for St. Andrews cross with no intention of suspension as an alternative to regular BDSM Cuffs. The folks that have bought them for suspension have appreciated the comfort for the suspended.
While similar to a lot of 'U'-pattern cuffs:
The DUAL WRIST STRAPS help ensure a snug fit on the wrist.
Most other designs only have one strap. As long as one of the straps is secure the wrist should be secure. Two straps allow for daily/monthly variations in wrist size and of course the over-time slight stretching of leather, ensuring that at least one will be snug for every use. The holes are usually slightly offset for this purpose.
They are made with a SPECIFIC LEFT AND RIGHT CUFF for extra comfort when gripping the cuff during play.
A lot of other similar designs are the same for both sides. I have four different wrist size templates to ensure the curve is optimum for the wrist size needed.
The extension/primary support piece angles out slightly to rest comfortably between the thumb and the first finger.
They have a SUEDE BACKING so there is no metal against skin at the wrist and we have found that the suede helps hold the cuffed person in place easier as they go into sub space or get tired than other materials we have tried while still be comfortable on the wrist.
They can be made in several colors for the front leather as well as several colors for the suede backing. Black on Black would be the default.
Leather colors include Black, Red, Purple, Blue, Pink, White, Yellow, and a Jade Green. A metallic Silver and metallic Gold leather are also available that will work for the front leather. For the backing we have Black, Red, Blue, Purple, White, Hot Pink (Fuchsia) English Toast (a reddish Tan), Turquoise, Hunter Green, Yellow, and a few amounts of some other colors available.
The available leather colors can be selected in options. The difference in prices is the cost of that leather versus the default black leather and suede.
I have three attachment point options.
- The default is the Panic Snap as it allows for older folks, folks with medical conditions, and beginners to have a self release capability, while more advanced/risk takers can use the D-ring at the bottom of the panic snap as a non-releasable point if needed.
- The recommended for routine use in suspension is the rated shackle option. Although considerably more expensive, it offers all the benefits of the panic snap, along with marine grade stainless steel and a rating of;
Functional working Load = 2116 lbs,
Working load (kg) 960,
Breaking load (kg) 2000),
according to the manufacturer of the shackles.
These are the only rated shackles I am aware of with a flat bottom useable by the cuffs. I have found many without load ratings. The leather will likely go long before the rated shackle likely will.
- Simple D-ring, for those that don't want the extra mass of the panic snap/rated shackle we have a nice D-ring we can use.
Note: Because of the Chicago screws, it is possible to change the attachment points out if desired.
Finally we have locking buckle and non-locking buckle options on the straps in both Black, Nickel, Brass and in a limited quantity some other options. The default is normally black locking buckles.
SAFETY CAVEAT: They have been designed with suspension in mind, however, because they are made from leather and thus are a natural fiber product, We can not warranty them for suspension, but the design was tested with 350lbs on one cuff (We recommend using both) using a panic snap and then bouncing up and down trying to break the cuff. The basic design has been in production for over 20 years. Two minor corrective designs have been implemented since. One of which was to lengthen the wrist piece for the smaller sizes. The other was a slight change to the curve based on wrist size to better distribute the load equally around the wrist. I have had two reported failures in all that time; one was from a rivet popping, I now use Chicago screws on the primary support and have not had a reported failure in over 15 years since switching. The second more recent was the panic snap on one cuff failed and would no longer close, I sent a replacement panic snap, that is the only time I have heard of a panic snap failing other than under some very specific conditions.
Caveat 2: Although I do my best so they are comfortable to wear on the first try, leather is natural and sometimes has a mind of its own, so sometimes it takes a couple of wearings to get the leather and suede to cooperate fully (much like shoes), but after that they should be comfortable for its lifetime if used on the same person.
Final note, while I often get these done with two weeks, I have set the time longer than that because lately things kept happening and I just barely finished a few in time, so added a week to the time to make sure I have more than enough time. The time is so if I mess up I have time to make a replacement set.
As these are made at time of order they are considered "AS IS" for returns and thus unless we made a mistake in their construction they are not returnable, if we made a mistake please take a photo of the mistake and sent to us along with a description. Our policy is usually to replace rather then refund. We are very highly unlikely to refund for these.
Also please watch for tracking, if the package says delivered, we will not refund these and may not replace if it says delivered, although please still contact us as we sometimes will replace one time as a courtesy. And the package size is big enough to attract porch pirates.
