Keep in mind that exposure to chemicals such as shampoos and body soaps, chlorine such as in pools and salt water from the ocean can cause tarnishing and break down of the metal surface, so it is advised not to wear steel in these circumstances. For cleaning, use mild dish soap or a spray of rubbing alcohol, wipe down and let dry.
