For plenty of buyers, discreet shipping is not a nice-to-have. It is the difference between ordering and closing the tab. If you can offer it, say so.
What it means
A shop with discreet shipping promises that all items are packaged in a way where the contents are undetectable. Plain outer packaging, nothing on the label that gives away what is inside.
How to turn it on
- Go to Shop settings → Shop info and open the Shop policies tab.
- Tick Discreet shipping.
- Fill in Discreet Shipping Shop Name. This is the name printed as the shop name on the shipping label, so pick something neutral. Your initials or a plain company name work well.
- Save.
Your shop page then shows a Discreet Shipping badge, which buyers look for.
Only turn it on if every order qualifies
The badge is a promise for the whole shop, not a best effort. Before you tick the box, check that:
- Your outer box or mailer is plain, with no logos or product photos.
- Your return address and label name do not spell out what you sell.
- Invoices or packing slips inside are fine, as long as nothing shows from the outside.
If a buyer receives a package that gives away its contents from a shop showing the badge, that is a not-as-described problem, and it lands on your shop. When in doubt, leave it off and answer buyers’ questions about packaging in Messages.
What buyers see on their bank statement
Buyers often ask about this in the same breath. Card payments on Spicerack show as SR MARKET, so your shop name and products never appear on their statement.
