A wand is a motor and a head, and the head is swappable. That single fact turns one expensive toy into several, and it is the least advertised feature in the category because attachments are sold separately and nobody bundles them.
What attachments do
The wand supplies broad, deep power. An attachment redirects it:
- Insertable heads turn an external toy into an internal one, usually with a g-spot curve. The most useful category by a distance.
- Textured caps add nubs or ridges to the head, which changes the surface sensation without changing the power.
- Couples attachments sit between bodies during penetrative sex, which is a genuinely different use.
- Diffusers soften the intensity, which sounds counterintuitive on a toy bought for power and is exactly what a lot of people need.
- Prostate curves redirect toward the front wall for internal use.
The compatibility problem
This is the thing to check before buying anything. Attachments are sized to specific wand heads and do not cross brands reliably. Magic Wand attachments fit Magic Wand. Le Wand attachments fit Le Wand. Some third party attachments fit the Magic Wand head because it is the de facto standard, but assume nothing.
Practical consequence: if attachments matter to you, that should influence which wand you buy rather than being an afterthought.

Using attachments well
- Seat it properly. A loose attachment rattles and wastes power. It should push on firmly.
- Lower setting than you would use bare. Attachments concentrate the vibration, so an intensity that felt moderate on the bare head can be too much through an insertable.
- Water based lube on silicone attachments. Same rule as everywhere.

- Check the material. Body safe silicone only. Some cheap third party attachments are not, which our materials guide covers.
Is it worth it
If you already own a wand, an insertable attachment is the cheapest way to add a whole category of sensation, and considerably cheaper than a dedicated internal toy of similar quality.

Will any attachment fit my wand? No. Check head diameter and brand compatibility before buying.
Do attachments reduce power? Slightly, and some are designed to. Diffusers do it deliberately.
