The safety part, first
- No identifiable faces or tattoos in photos unless you would be comfortable with them public. That is the only reliable protection.
- Strip metadata. Photos carry location data by default on most phones.
- Disappearing messages are not a guarantee. Screenshots exist.
- Check the background. Mirrors, windows, mail on a table.
- Never send under pressure. "Send me one" is a request, not an obligation, and hesitation is an answer.
What actually works
Description over performance. "I keep thinking about last Thursday" beats an invented scenario, because it is true and specific.
Anticipation over explicitness. What you are going to do lands harder than a running commentary.
Timing. A message that arrives mid-afternoon does more than one at eleven at night when both people are already there.
Words before pictures. Lower risk, and generally more effective anyway.
