Frenum — The Harness That Ends the Conversation

A gag is a promise of silence. Frenum is the guarantee.

Every gag has the same weakness: it can move. The jaw works at it, the tongue pushes, a strap slips a few millimeters — and control quietly leaks away. Frenum closes that gap.

Named after the Latin word for the bridle, Frenum does what a bridle has always done: it takes hold of the head — and of everything the head still wanted to say.

Architecture, Not a Strap

Frenum wraps the head in a complete load-bearing structure designed to stabilize the gag from multiple directions.

A sculpted leather front panel cups the chin and covers the mouth, pressing the gag firmly into place from the outside. The under-jaw strap helps prevent the mouth from working itself open, while the crown strap locks the vertical axis so the harness cannot easily ride up or slip down.

At the nape, a wide leather panel anchors the entire system and distributes tension across the back of the head for a secure, stable fit.

Frenum was engineered as the missing half of our anatomical gags. Tacita and Eirene are shaped to fill the mouth; Frenum is designed to help keep them securely in position throughout extended wear.

But Frenum does not require dedicated mounts or adapters. Instead, the sculpted front panel applies external pressure over the mouth, allowing the harness to be used with a range of other gag designs, including Globus, Orbitus, Hesychia and standard ball gags of suitable shape and dimensions.

Seven D-rings are positioned around the harness, turning the head itself into an anchor point.

Attach a leash at the crown for posture control. Use the side rings for tethering or additional restraint configurations. Create downward, backward or lateral fixation depending on the setup.

Where the head goes — and whether it goes anywhere at all — becomes your decision alone.

Compatibility

How to Use

1. Insert and position the gag correctly.
2. Place the Frenum front panel over the mouth so that it supports and presses the gag into position.
3. Adjust the under-jaw strap to stabilize the lower section of the harness.
4. Adjust the crown and rear straps until the harness sits securely without shifting.
5. Check the overall fit and make any final buckle adjustments before use.
6. The D-rings may then be used for a leash, tethering or other compatible restraint configurations.

Size Guide

To choose your Frenum size, measure the circumference around your head following the line of your closed lips and passing over the top of your neck, as shown in the reference image.

How to Measure Correctly

1. Lift and tilt your head upward as shown in the reference image.
2. Keep your lips closed throughout the measurement.
3. Wrap a flexible measuring tape around your head, following the line of the closed lips and passing over the top of the neck.
4. Allow the tape to rest lightly against the skin. It should be snug, but should not compress the skin or be pulled excessively tight.
5. Record the measurement and compare it with the size chart below.

Size Chart

Each Frenum size has a wide adjustment range. Buckles positioned across the different axes of the harness allow the fit to be fine-tuned within the corresponding size range.
