Our horse hair is carefully prepared and disinfected by our supplier, followed by an additional week-long process in our workshop to make it safe, supple, and strong. This painstaking approach results in a tail that starts its life far from brittle.

Our horse hair is carefully prepared and disinfected by our supplier, followed by an additional week-long process in our workshop to make it safe, supple, and strong. This painstaking approach results in a tail that starts its life far from brittle.
In this particular piece, approximately 110 grams of high-quality horse hair was used, giving a visible tail length of about 70 cm.
The tail is mounted in a specially designed “nest” that creates a natural high-tail effect — the hair flows upward at an angle rather than hanging parallel to the ground. This design makes full use of the natural elasticity and bounce of real horse hair during movement.
Nothing brings you into pony headspace quite like the feeling of a real horse hair tail. The weight, the sway, the way it moves with you — for many, this single detail makes the difference between playing pony and truly becoming one.

The tail features a beautiful yellow-white blend, finished with tangerine thread.
